Evan Baden
Baden completed a BFA at the College of Visual Arts, St. Paul, Minnesota, in 2007. Evan Baden’s portrait series The Illuminati (2006-2007) and Technically Intimate (2009-2010) The Illuminati depicts solitary figures from the waist up, bathed in a soft light and surrounded by shadows in a manner that recalls Johannes Vermeer’s (Dutch, 1632-1675) paintings. However, using the glow radiates from the screens of electronic devices, such as iPods, cell phones, and computers, rather than streaming in from a nearby window. Baden continues his exploration of the relationship of technology and youth in his subsequent series Technically Intimate (2009-2010).

Bill O'Donnell
Bill O'Donnell rooted in this idea of the home as a haven. His recent series Elevations comprises photographs of small model houses that the artist holds up in front of the camera in tranquil settings like a deserted beach or a forest. images attempts to reconcile house and landscape—to find a place where one fits the other. He challenges our perceptions of the real and the artificial. He also plays with our sense of scale through the positioning of the models and he guides our eyes within each photograph by using a shallow depth of field, which leaves only certain areas in focus
