Art Historical Reproduction (The Scream)
The Scream (1893)- Edvard Munch
Observations about their work-
Sunsets, Bridge, Person wearing black, Light in front, Hopefully an island in the back ground
Notes from artists themselves-
His inspiration: One evening I was walking along a path, the city was on one side and the
fjord below. I felt tired and ill. I stopped and looked out over the
fjord—the sun was setting, and the clouds turning blood red. I sensed a
scream passing through nature; it seemed to me that I heard the scream. I
painted this picture, painted the clouds as actual blood. The color
shrieked. This became The Scream.
His Works- His major works that are well known to the world are The Scream, The Dance of Life, Ashes and Madonna. He mostly only works with Oil on canvas.
His Styles- he created as both paintings and pastels, by the Expressionist, he created the four versions of The Scream in various media.
Re-create-
When: Spring break, Sunsets. I'm going to need lights in the front because the place is going to be kind of dark because of the sun is going to be setting. The exposure might be long, therefor i should have a tripod with me too
Where : the bridge in Fort Langley
Who: I'm gonna be using more then one person (anyone) hopefully bald.
. The models needs to be wearing something dark (black). They need to show and have the 'O' expression with eyes wide open. Their hands needs to be on their cheeks, and they need to be standing on a bridge. Hopefully catching two people in the background.
